Hugo is an independent food journalist and consultant. He works extensively with hotels, restaurants, retailers and manufacturers advising on food trends and developing new products and ideas. Hugo is the author if numerous cookery books, was editorial consultant to a number of food publications, including Food & Wine Magazine, has written food columns for the London Evening Standard, Financial Times and now the Irish Times. Hugo won a Glenfiddich Award for his innovative food writing in 2001. He also sits as a member of the Bord Bia Taste Council.
