Hosts Gillian and Niall Ennis will welcome you to their elegant residence, dating back to 1793, before showing you to your luxurious room with period furnishings and all mod cons offering views of the Shannon. In the evening pop down to the cosy sitting room to enjoy a pre-dinner Gin cocktail while perusing the menu before it’s time to indulge in the very best in local seasonal fare as Chef Niall showcases his cooking skills. Dinner is taken in The Conservatory Restaurant with river and garden views, a lovely dining space where candles add warmth and intimacy as darkness falls. After dinner relax in the sitting room over a nightcap.

It’s not over yet. In the morning you will enjoy a sumptuous breakfast with choices of fresh juice, yogurt, cereals and fruit. How about trying some Porridge with Irish Whiskey Cream? Cooked to order breakfasts include a splendid ‘Full Irish’ of local butcher’s sausages, black and white puddings and bacon and free-range eggs with plenty of house bread and toast to accompany. You’re sure to leave Carrygerry Country House feeling well cared for and fabulously fed for the day ahead.
