Ballycotton Seafood in Cork is built around fresh fish caught primarily by the local fishing fleet off the south coast of Ireland. Richard Walsh started the company in 1985 based on fish landed on Ballycotton pier, Cork. He once said that controlling your own fishing fleet guarantees supply and quality fresh fish. This is a statement that has proven to be true if the quality of the fish his company supplies is anything to go by.
Ballycotton Seafood supplies an impressive range of fresh and smoked fish. Equipped with their own smokehouse they produce artisan seafood and smoked fish that is terrifically flavoursome. The fresh fish available includes everything from John Dory and gurnard, to cod and monkfish. They also supply pure crab meat, along with a selection of other shellfish. Ballycotton Seafood is the place to go if you’re looking for quality seafood of any description.
From retail to wholesale to export, Ballycotton Seafood prides itself on a full range of fresh fish all prepared, packed and dispatched from its processing plant at Garryvoe. From here it is exported throughout Europe and sent to retailers and wholesalers here in Ireland. You can also purchase its products through the Ballycotton Seafood Stall at the English Market in Cork city, the Ballycotton Seafood Shop in the centre of Midleton, the shop in Garryvoe and the outlet in Hazelwood Shopping Centre Glanmire.
