BUN FEST

You may have noticed we have a lovely picture of Hot Cross Buns on our homepage. Can’t you just taste them, served spread with butter and a nice cup of tea?! Hot Cross buns are the buns of Easter. The cross may have significant religious connotations this time of year. School children still sing the old rhyme ‘Hot Cross Buns, Hot Cross Buns, One a penny two a penny, Hot Cross Buns!’ Oh how we love tradition. Our recipe listings features a recipe for making Hot Cross Buns at home, from the kitchens of Ballymaloe Cookery School. We love the fragrant smell of them baking in the oven.
