HIGHLIGHTS OF THE NORTH

Autumn is in full swing but there’s still time to enjoy some good value options for short breaks in Northern Ireland. If you haven’t been to this part of the country, you’re missing a trick. Can we suggest two very different locations for a late break before winter sets in? Belfast is a pretty slick city. Lots to see and superb shopping and dining facilities. Only an hour and a half from Dublin driving time, and easily accessible by air to Belfast airport. In the suburb of Holywood lies a gorgeous country house hotel.  Culloden Estate and Spa was once a grand house for Bishops. All character remains but these days its a luxury hotel with Spa and fine dining in the restaurant. A special offer running to the end of the month allows you to avail of all that comfort at a snip of a price. South west of Belfast in County Armagh – you might like a break in characterful family home where service is impeccable and only the best is chosen for the breakfast and dinner menus. Newforge House is the place – family run and tucked away in private grounds near the village of Magheralin. Lough Neagh is very close by. Scenic spot for a short break. Plus quick driving access to Belfast and a leisurely spin to historical Derry City, with history galore. The stunning windswept Donegal coast  in the west of Ireland is also reachable, if you want to trek further afield. County Armagh has it’s own beautiful scenery as well  – famous for its fertile countryside and apple orchards. Get your skates on this month and discover a part of the world you’ll truly enjoy.Culloden Estate: Check out the details here.Newforge House: Find out more with a click of your mouse!
