No sooner has Easter been and gone and we are hopping along to the Merry Merry Month of May. This coming weekend brings a bank holiday, and a chance for a bit of R&R. What will you do this long weekend? Dust off the barbecue, fire up the coals and get cooking? Perhaps take a country walk and gather some of the free wild foods blossoming in the hedgerows and fields. If you’re near the coast, you might take a paddle in the waves on a hopefully quiet beach, or build sandcastles or sand sculptures if the sun comes out. There’s no end to the jollity of the May Bank Holiday, which kind of marks the official start of summer and all the festivities that happen in the next few months.  School will be out quite soon  for secondary age kids not doing big exams this year.
