The Barton Rooms Restaurant is the main fine dining space at Barberstown Castle Hotel. The Barton Rooms are named after Mr Hugh Barton, the architect who designed the wing in which the restaurant is located. For those looking for that exciting country house dining experience, then a visit to The Barton Rooms is a must.

 

Seated within the grandeur of this historic space, you can expect to enjoy a delectable menu that includes carefully selected high quality local ingredients that are used to create an exciting menu of modern dishes blended with a traditional country house feel.

 

Devised within set menus and a tasting menu, the Barton Rooms Restaurant is open Thursdays through to Saturday evenings along with Sunday afternoons for a delectable Sunday lunch service.

 

Popular dishes on the menu include a Roast Irish Lamb, along with Andarl Farm Pork Loin. There’s also a selection of fish dishes and vegetarian and other dietary-specific requirements that can easily be catered for. With a focus on Irish ingredients very much present this has seamlessly blended with dishes with a flair of French-inspired cuisine.

 

Dining at the Barton Rooms has proved very popular, especially their Sunday Lunch so we’d recommend booking in advance.

Barberstown Castle Hotel offers everything you could need for a relaxing breakaway. Beautiful rooms are a perfect blend of the timeless history of this space with elements of modern convenience that will make your stay all the more enjoyable.

 

This beautiful setting also plays host to many happy weddings throughout the year. Couples are drawn to the romanticism of the castle and are well looked after by the castle’s dedicated wedding and events team.

At Barberstown Castle Hotel, rooms range from standard to deluxe, junior suites and even rooms with traditional four poster beds. Each room is spacious and designed with that country house feel. Expect to find comfy lounge chairs and antique dressers, along with heavy drapes and vibrant wallpaper which all hark back to the period elements of the castle. Each room is completely unique with different furnishings throughout.

 

This testament to the past is seamlessly combined with all the modern convenience you can expect from a luxury hotel. Rooms include luxury bathrooms, WIFI, TV among other necessities.

 

During our stay, we enjoyed a restful night’s sleep made all the better by the plush bedding that is all about comfort and relaxation.

 

Feeling refreshed in the morning, we treated ourselves to the amazing breakfast offering available in the hotel restaurant. One of the many highlights of our stay, we browsed the buffet selection of breakfast items which featured fresh fruit, preserves, fresh bread and pastries to name but a few delicacies.

 

A selection of hot dishes are also available and are cooked fresh to order. We tried some scrambled eggs with a side of bacon. The eggs were creamy and delicious while the bacon had just the right amount of crisp.

 

Breakfast at Barberstown Castle will certainly put you in good stead for the day ahead.
