The Enclosure Restaurant at Arkle Bar is the newest dining option at the Glenroyal Hotel, offering a sophisticated dining experience. The Enclosure is an elevated area off the Arkle Bar.

The stylish interior design is luxurious with oak timber finishes, velvet finishes, and brass decorative lighting is a firm nod to the world of the thoroughbred racing industry.

The style of menu and service at the Enclosure matches the luxurious atmosphere of the restaurant. The a la carte menu designed by Michelin star experienced Executive Chef Bernard McGuane is a showcase of the best local and seasonal ingredients available. Diners can identify the provenance of the ingredients which are proudly name-checked on a map of Ireland on the reverse of the restaurant menu.

The day we visited, the chef prepared a fresh crab starter paired with a salad of shaved cucumber, avocado puree, apple and fresh micro leaves. Following this, the chef cooked a simple main course of Roast Supreme of Irish free-range chicken presented on a bed of pea, broad bean and chervil and garnished with a parmesan and hazelnut brittle, perfection!

The menu features innovative and house specialties including a seafood sharing platter and prime dry aged beef cut fresh to your liking and cooked on a charcoal griddle and presented on a board platter.

The Enclosure Restaurant serves lunch on Sundays 1pm – 3pm. The Enclosure Restaurant is open for dinner daily from 5pm – 9pm. Bookings are essential. To place a booking please call 01 6209 0909 or email [email protected].
