When you arrive in Sweet n Green you are greeted by an aroma of fresh bread, fresh coffee and a display of fresh food.
Diners are led upstairs to the seated area which has a gallery feel, tables and seating are set out around the staircase balustrade and the walls are displaying a collection of local artwork adding to the atmosphere, visitor interest and highlighting further aspects of the local provenance ethos at Sweet n Green. Overall, the space is a lovely mix of food, culture and community surrounded by warmth.
The reputation for excellence has only grown and grown in the Clare region and beyond since they opened. This has culminated in them being awarded Best Place to Eat in Clare at the 2019 Clare Business Awards.

The day we visited, Chef prepared a main course of perfectly cooked Panko Scampi & Calamari Salad. Salads at Sweet n Green are a mouthwatering experience, the touch points are healthy, fresh, and full of exciting flavours. There is an ethos of homebaked and freshly made at Sweet n Green. Visitors can expect freshly baked homemade bread, pastries, scones and desserts.
Speaking of desserts, the kitchen served a real showstopper off the dessert menu, Salted Bailey’s Caramel Truffle Pot with Strawberry Ice Cream. This was melt in your mouth delicious. We couldn’t get enough!
In keeping with the sustainable and mindful ethos that runs through Sweet n Green, many of the ingredients are sourced from local artisan producers. These producers are given proud recognition throughout the daily operations of the business.
Sweet n Green is a busy spot full of warmth and atmosphere and a great location to meet friends and enjoy good food. Moreover, it can be booked out by prior arrangement for special events or family occasions in the evening.
