Good Food Ireland® is delighted to announce that Wild Thyme Restaurant, Co. Monaghan has been Approved to the Good Food Ireland® Collection.

Located within the village of Threemile House, just a short distance from Monaghan Town, you’ll find the culinary gem that is Wild Thyme Restaurant. Having opened in 2022, husband and wife team Karl Breen and Sinéad Flynn have provided locals and visitors to Monaghan with a wonderful contemporary dining experience that puts local Irish flavours and great hospitality at the heart of its offering.

 

Good Food Ireland® had the pleasure of visiting Wild Thyme Restaurant and were captivated by the warmth of welcome along with the great sense of place and local ethos that envelops the restaurant.

Chef & Proprietor Karl Breen has put the focus on highlighting a selection of seasonal Irish ingredients across a selection of carefully devised dishes that best showcase the quality and flavours of the produce used. The menu aligns perfectly with Good Food Ireland®, with its sustainable local ethos and seasonal changes, offering customers a genuine authentic Good Food Ireland® experience when they visit the restaurant” says Margaret Jeffares, Founder & Managing Director, Good Food Ireland®.

 

Karl and Sinéad are a winning combination both bringing their considerable skills to the table. Chef Karl is at the helm in the kitchen while Sinéad expertly manages the front of house and hospitality, making sure customers are well looked after and enjoy their visit to Wild Thyme Restaurant.

 

For a more casual dining offering, The Saddle Bar is located on-site too. Here you can relax in front of the fire with a pint as you enjoy a delicious meal that all is about the best pub & bar food done in the elegant Wild Thyme style. Wild Thyme Restaurant is open Thursday through to Sunday if you’re planning a trip to Monaghan. They also do a lovely Sunday Lunch which is very popular. Booking in advance is recommended.
