Overview
This family run hotel has local food at its heart, with an organic restaurant and organic garden on site.
Mary and Dick Fitzgerald opened their 4 bedroom guesthouse in 1983 and worked hard over the years to grow their fledging business into a hub of hospitality for guests looking for relaxed, friendly accommodation. Mary and Dick’s children run the hotel now and to this day, family remains at the heart of the day to day operations. Significant investment over the years has transformed Fitzgeralds Woodlands House Hotel & Spa into an 89 bedroom hotel with extensive wedding, conference, spa and leisure facilities. Welcome to your home away from home.
Fitzgeralds Woodlands House Hotel & Spa has extensive and impressive food offerings. Take your pick from the Fieldings of Adare Restaurant, Timmy Macs Bistro and Dicks Bar. The team at Fitzgeralds Woodlands are passionate about homegrown goodness and local and seasonal foods so much so that Mary Fitzgerald, in memory of her late husband, created a wonderful Organic Garden (the hotel is certified by the Irish Organic Association). Here, staff make the most of the bountiful seasonal, organic produce including leafy greens for salads and sprigs of mint for the must-try mojitos in Dicks Bar.
The philosophy in Fieldings of Adare Restaurant is to work with seasonal ingredients respecting their natural flavours. Menus are laden with produce from the hotel’s organic garden, Irish organic producers, and local Limerick food producers. The ever changing and creative menu ensures that you can savour the flavour of the freshest and best seasonal organic produce and there is a wide selection of dishes to suit meat and fish lovers as well as vegetarians. There is also a terrific selection of organic wines to compliment each dish. Add to this the elegant design of the space, the wonderful service and relaxed atmosphere and what you have is a truly memorable dining experience for gourmands.
Timmy Macs Bistro at Fitzgeralds Woodlands House Hotel is very popular with locals and guests. The dining room is light and bright with plenty of areas for large family gatherings and the casual atmosphere gives it a fun, welcoming vibe.

The Bistro has a separate vegetarian and vegan menu offering plenty of choice with dishes full of taste and flavour. As always the freshest Irish local ingredients are used throughout the menu.
Dicks Bar is a lively spot where you can wind down in the comfy sofas with a beverage or two. The impressive drinks menu features Irish spirits, craft beers and creative cocktails and the fun at Dicks Bar kicks up a notch on Saturdays with live music. Make sure you pack your dancing shoes.
