‘THE BULL’ VISITS MOYCULLEN

What does it take to feed an Irish rugby hero? As you can imagine, a man of this kind of calibre and energy needs the best diet to build strength and muscle to compete at the toughest and highest levels. A large, tender, juicy steak could hit the spot! The Irish Hereford breed is one of the traditional heritage beef breeds reared in this country,  on an Irish grass fed system which is second to none. This means cattle are grazed outdoors on lush green pastures most of the year, to bring the best flavour to the end result. John ‘THE BULL’ Hayes, Former Munster, Irish International and Lions rugby player, is a fitting Ambassador for prime Irish Hereford Beef. He knows a good steak when he sees one! This top class rugby player is also an Irish Hereford Beef Farmer on the family farm in Cappamore, Co. Limerick. So John knows exactly what he is talking about when it comes to rearing the best quality beef. John has represented the breed as Ambassador since 2012, in association with ABP Ireland, an official body of Irish Beef Producers. John recently visited The Forge Bar and Eatery in Moycullen, in his role as Ambassador. No finer place for him to drop into –  this Good Food Ireland Approved Provider is known for sourcing and serving best Irish beef on the menu. John’s visit included chatting to the chefs and kitchen team about the Hereford breed and it’s importance in beef production, quality and taste. Hereford produces flavoursome succulent beef – good enough to satisfy the appetite of ‘The Bull’!
