HEALTHY EATING AT BALLYMALOE COOKERY SCHOOL


Coming up later in the summer Ballymaloe Cookery School has a couple of cookery courses based on healthy food options.
 
The sushi course has been running for a couple of years now and is one of the most popular during the summer months.  
 
Feel Good Food with Debbie Shaw is for anyone who is serious about making positive, long-lasting changes to their diet and taking control of their own health. Debbie is a naturopathic consultant and regularly gives classes in Cork City on anti-inflammatory foods. 
 
 
Sushi Made Simple with Shermin Mustafa | 15th July | 1/2 day 
The health benefits of sushi are innumerable but people are often intimidated by the technique involved in making their own. This course with sushi master Shermin Mustafa takes the mystery out of it. With fresh fish from nearby Ballycotton, Shermin will show us how to prepare sashimi and at least eight different types of sushi. 
 
Feel Good Food: Let's Cook with Debbie Shaw |10th August | 1.5 days 
Debbie Shaw is a Naturopathic Nutritionist and a teacher at Ballymaloe Cookery School for many years. Her core philosophy is that food is our medicine, when we wake up in the morning we should feel full of vitality and energy. Healthy eating is not about sacrifice, deprivation or bland, uninspiring flavours. With some small, but powerful changes to your everyday cooking routines, you can take control of your own health.
