HOLYWOOD HOME

What was once the home of the Bishops of Belfast is now a magnificent home from home for many a weary traveller. Culloden Estate and  Spa in the Belfast suburb of Holywood combines  the period architectural features of a significant historical residence of the clergy, with the comfort that is the hallmark of Hastings hotels. Five star luxury and excellent service goes without saying – even the Bishops would have approved!  Winter is a great season to enjoy this welcoming hotel with it’s grandeur and grace, surrounded by beautiful gardens that glisten magically, these frosty mornings. After the stresses and strains of Christmas, you may feel in need of a break which will invigorate and refresh in the coming New Year. A couple of packages caught our eye.  The ‘Love Winter’ package, running till 31st January 2014 includes one night’s Superior Acommodation, Hendrick’s Gin Warm Punch or Mulled Wine on arrival, and full Irish breakfast  in the morning. Single from £120, Double £150.

As the month rolls on, Culloden’s Burn’s Night Supper on 24th January 2015 celebrates the works of the Scottish Poet. Guests are welcomed by the piper to the Crozier Lounge, where whisky cocktails and soft drinks will be served. The piper will then lead the way to the Mitre Restaurant for a four course supper including traditional fare of Haggis, Neeps and Tatties. Scottis music and recitals of Burns’ poetry will entertain throughout the evening.  Drinks  reception, dinner and single accommodation £170, Double £230. Dinner only £45. Bookings now being taken for both these winter packages.
