Every year, the Good Food Ireland Conference takes place prior to our annual award ceremony. This year’s date for the diary is November 19th 2013. Good Food Ireland Approved Provider The Shelbourne Hotel will host our conference from 10.30am-16.00pm, followed by an evening Award Ceremony. .This year’s Good Food Ireland Conference, presented in association with Kerrygold, follows the theme ‘Shifting Plates – Influencing Ireland’s food choices at home and abroad’. A line up of top speakers will tackle all sorts of subjects designed to create a fourm which provokes thought, motivates and raises confidence to build a profile for Irish food tourism. Our conference also helps businesses connect with other businesses with whom they can do business. Speakers include Una Fitzgibbon of Bord Bia – talking on the subject of Diversity creates Sustainability. UK Journalist Xanthe Clay will speak on The Fickleness of Food – Making Ireland an Enduring Choice. Dr Maureen Gaffney stirs up some passion with  ‘The Feelgood Factor – Local food for Local Businesses’. Margot Slattery, MD of Sodexo Ireland, will speak on Connecting Businesses through Local Food. Guest of Honour is Leo Varadkar TD, Minister of  Transport, Tourism and Sport. RTE’s Ear To The Ground presenter and journalist Darragh McCullough is our Conference Chairman. More speakers will be confirmed soon in this prestigious line up.Our annual conference is targeted at food and drink industry professionals, food producers, fishermen, key leaders, strategists, marketeers, media and product developers in the food and drink tourism industry sector, as well as those who want to learn more about the Good Food Ireland ethos. The day also provides networking opportunities for business owners, and of course, showcases an array of Good Food Ireland artisan producers and their superlative products.
