And you’ve made it intact through Christmas Day, which despite it’s jolly reputation, is statistically the most stressful day of the year! So we are giving you a drink to celebrate your smooth transition of  all these potentially alarming occurences that have happened in the last week! A Hot Cider Toddy which comforts the soul on short dark days between Christmas and New Year. Our artisan cider makers have been a busy lot this autumn, gathering the best apples to make their handcrafted Irish ciders. Good Food Ireland Approved Craft Ciders include a selection from The Armagh Cider Company, Armagh and the Tempted Cider range from D.J’s Juice and Cider in Antrim. Down south of the island of Ireland, Stonewell Cider is made near Kinsale. All of these are made to special recipes, with Irish homegrown apples, and come in varying styles. Choose any one of them for our special celebratory Hot Cider Toddy! Simple half fill a heatproof glass with your favourite cider. Top up with boiling water. Add some cloves and a piece of cinnamon stick. Float a sliver of apple slice on top.
