WINTER IN DONEGAL


Winter in Donegal descends peacefully on Rathmullan House. In the run up to Christmas, log fires are blazing and comforting dishes with local seasonal produce are on the menu. The pre-festive period is a great time to visit, if you want an out of season break at a value price. Some special deals are on offer. Rathmullan’s Winter Warming Weekend comprises 2  nights dinner b&b in the luxury surroundings of the house and grounds. Beautiful bedrooms await. Gorgeous food at breakfast will leave you feeling replete and ready to take a winter stroll by Lough Swilly,  or lounge by the fire with a good book. Dinner in The Cook and Gardener Restaurant is a treat of seasonal produce with local meat and fish and produce grown in the house gardens. Afterwards, retire to the fire with a nightcap before retreating to your room and a blissful night’s sleep. Prices for a weekend including breakfast and dinner both days is €200 per person for available dates on 21st and 28th November and 12th December. 

Quick one nighter breaks are also available for Saturday 6th and 27th December. All the luxury of the house and its facilites, with dinner on night of arrival and a hearty breakfast in the morning. At €115 euros per person, this might be the Christmas gift you want to give to yourself! 

For the artists among you, a three day painting course with Dermot Cavanagh promises some inspirational classes for all levels of ability – including those who have never touched a paintbrush before!
