Shannon Princess is a luxury crewed hotel barge that cruises the River Shannon and her loughs in Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands Family-run by the Gibbons family.
They have combined a love of boating and delicious food with years of experience in hotel barging to create a unique cruise experience. And while the mood on board is informal, friendly, and relaxed, they will go out of their way to provide you with a slice of local knowledge and renowned Irish hospitality.
Explore waterside villages, cycle, and walk country lanes where little has changed through the centuries. Savour private shore visits, fantastic food, and attentive service.
Guests onboard will enjoy all the indulgent comforts of their own private floating hotel. Deluxe accommodations include air conditioning, a deck side spa pool, touring bikes, WiFi, and delicious dining and wines.
Cruises can be booked by the cabin or as an exclusive charter for up to 10 guests.
Cruises run from April through to October each year.
Cruises are all-inclusive and of a 6-night/7-day duration.

With an emphasis on delicious modern cuisine, Shannon Princess’s foods and menus are prepared by sourcing local, free range and organic produce. The galley’s menus are designed around seasonal ingredients – all gathered at farm shops and country markets along the River Shannon, as well as seafood from the coast. Accommodation & Facilities
The Shannon Princess has been thoughtfully designed for a great Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands cruise. The barge’s inviting interior makes a charming ‘Home away from Home’, where relaxed luxury blends with a warm Irish welcome.
The barge provides luxury accommodation for up to 10 guests in five – shipshape, fresh and chic cabins, each with its own modern en-suite bathroom. With Voya toiletries The cabins have central heating, air conditioning and Wi-Fi.
The saloon on board Shannon Princess is nautical chic, with a mix of coastal tones and natural furnishings. The spacious yacht style saloon also enjoys large opening panorama windows as well as its own foredeck area.
The upper deck features a spacious terrace-style sun deck – with spa pool/hot tub and BBQ, over-sized cushioned sofas, sun loungers, deck chairs and tables.
It’s the perfect place for yoga, relaxing, alfresco summer dining, or sundowners on deck.
