SIXTIES PARADE
The saying goes if you can remember the sixties, you weren’t there! This refers to an era when times were a’changing and the youth of the day began to let it’s hair down. This decade revolutionised music, fashion and lifestyle trends (not to mention introducing the concept of free love!) across Europe and America. In Ireland, showbands were king and Gay Byrne got in trouble over a nightie! (Google it…)  Designers of motor cars really let their minds roam free – the cars of the time were extremely sexy.  If you weren’t there the first time round, sexy Sixties cars are coming to Wicklow this weekend.  Tinahely Farm Shop is set in its own farm grounds just minutes from the main street of Tinahely village. The mountains and coastal region is close by.  Philip and Rebecca Hadden have created a little emporium of all good things food – from best fresh local produce and speciality artisan cheeses, meats and charcuterie, to antique tableware and cutlery, at their pretty farm shop. A neat little coffee shop is to be found under this delightful roof – serving home baked cakes, light lunches and refreshments throughout the day. Saturday 13th July sees a vintage parade of classic Sixties vehicles arriving at Tinahely Farm Shop at 10am  – just in time for morning coffee. Join them and enjoy a blast from the past in rural surroundings. Browse the cars and the shop, then enjoy a stroll along the farm walk. Â
