Dining

A warm welcome, great food and friendly service are what makes The Lobster a must-visit on the Ring of Kerry.

The Lobster is a family-run restaurant and is steeped in history, established over 60 years ago. The famous giant Lobster holding a pint of Guinness can’t be missed and a relaxing atmosphere and award-winning food await you!

The king of the crustaceans is the hero on this menu the fresh whole lobster is poached and presented in two halves and dressed with garlic aioli, salad and chip potatoes. There is an abundance of fresh fish and shellfish on the menu sourced locally from the waters around Ballinskelligs Bay and Portmagee including fresh hake which the chef uses for his deep-fried fish coated in house-made tempura batter, scallops and Irish salmon.

For ‘land lovers’ there is a real treat as Chef sources his beef and lamb from small South Kerry farmers within 10k of Waterville. We would recommend the homemade beef burgers, lamb shank and the roast leg of lamb always available on the Sunday menu. The Lobster Bar and Restaurant is geared up to take ad-hoc groups and family celebrations and gatherings.

If Waterville is your destination or you are touring the Ring of Kerry then The Lobster Bar and Restaurant is a must for your lunch or evening meal break. The Lobster Bar and Restaurant hosts are James and Andree Doyle and their friendly staff are ready to extend a warm Kerry welcome.
