Originally a grand Victorian railway hotel, the careful transformation into a luxury hotel and spa has left plenty of the Victorian character in tact. Because of the shape of the imposing red brick building, rooms are different shapes and sizes, but all are magnificent.
The 180 bedrooms are designed to the highest standards. Warm colours, sensual fabrics, and cosy furniture are used to great effect at all levels of accommodation.
Classic Rooms are contemporary and comfortable and are available as single, double and twin rooms, as are Superior Rooms, which are a bit more spacious. Executive Rooms are larger again and have a comfortable seating area as well as terrific sea views or views over the golf course. For even more space to spread out, the Resort Rooms are perfect, especially for those with loads of luggage or golf equipment.
The en suite marble and tile bathrooms have luxurious ESPA toiletries and plush robes and slippers as well as everything else needed for a relaxing pampering sessions.
Even though the building is Victorian, the amenities are thoroughly modern and bedrooms have plenty of facilities to make your stay as relaxing and enjoyable as possible including tea and coffee making facilities, a plasma screen tv, iPod docking station, iron/ironing board and complimentary Wi-Fi.
