The Garden Room at The Merrion is a relaxed place by the formal gardens where you can enjoy flavourful plates of food and the outstanding afternoon tea.

 

Daytime snacks, drinks and other refreshments are served in The Cellar Bar, located in the 18th century wine vaults. The Cellar Bar also does a great weekend brunch menu.

 

For a stylish drink in stylish surrounds head on up to Bar No 23. Unwind here with a cocktail, aperitif or an after dinner drink or try a glass of wine from L’Abeille de Fieuzal, the hotel’s chairman’s own vineyard in Pessac-Leognan, Bordeaux.

Rooms are bright and airy and are available in the Garden Wing or Main House. Those in the Main House have stunning vaulted ceilings and original marble fireplaces. Those in the Garden Wing have a more contemporary feel and are decorated in colours and fabrics selected from a subtle palette inspired by Paul Henry’s Irish landscape paintings. Garden Wing rooms either look out over the beautiful landscaped gardens to the rear of the hotel or have Dublin street views.

Food provenance is of great importance to the hotel. Seasonal freshness matters as does sourcing locally. The shorter the journey from farm to fork, the better. This helps keep food miles low and the carbon footprint to a minimum.
