Days Bazaar in Mullingar offers a casual yet refined dining experience that celebrates Irish produce and local suppliers. The restaurant opens from early morning until early evening, serving wholesome breakfasts, hearty lunches, wood-fired pizzas and a tempting selection of cakes and tray bakes.

 

We were impressed by the open layout and vintage-style booths that give the space a distinctive charm, with supplier boards proudly displayed throughout. Our tasting dish was the lunch special – slow-cooked pork shank from Pigs on the Green – served with creamy mash, fried red cabbage, black pudding and Stonewell Cider gravy. The meat was tender and flavoursome, the portion generous, and the dish beautifully balanced.

 

Staff were attentive and knowledgeable, adding to the friendly, local atmosphere. The café also operates a coffee truck at Mullingar Train Station and hosts its “Nights Bazaar” pop-up twice a month, featuring wood-fired pizzas, sharing boards and seasonal mains. Overall, Days Bazaar delivers great value, warm hospitality and a genuine commitment to Irish ingredients – a perfect fit for Good Food Ireland®.
