Dining

Agapé is the Greek word for ‘unconditional love’, something that is seen in the care and attention that goes into each and every dish produced by the Agapé team.

The Café is open 7 days per week offering a breakfast menu, lunch menu and a fab brunch menu on Sundays.

The owners of Agapé will shortly bring a new dining experience to the market, O’Doole’s, located to the rear of Barrett House through the lane entrance to the side of Agapé Café.

Owner Tanya Doyle leads the team in the kitchen at Agapé Café & Restaurant. Great food with real ingredients is Tanya’s claim. They use local and Irish sourced ingredients as a priority.

The café is open 7 days per week offering a breakfast menu from opening to 11.30am. Agapé is a top destination for breakfast in Kildare Town at great value. A visit for brunch on Sunday is an experience.

Building on Agape’s established lunchtime menu offering is a selection of signature sandwiches, open sandwiches, wraps, salads and snacks.

The day we visited Agapé, the chef prepared a toasted signature 6oz Irish Angus Philly Steak Sandwich on a ‘sliced doorstep’ of fresh sourdough bread. The sandwich was seared on the griddle top and presented with oozing melted cheese. Just divine, and a lovely demonstration of the stunning local food offering from this charming café and restaurant.

For customers in a hurry, Agape can prepare your order for takeaway. There’s also a selection of fresh scones, pastries and sweet treats available.

Sustainability

The team at Agapé are committed to responsible governance with a focus on reducing waste. In terms of waste minimization, all disposable materials are compostable.

Furthermore, there’s a full recycling management process in place.

Agapé also sources locally as a priority, with local ingredients a staple on the menu.

All disposable and takeaway containers are fully compostable. Meanwhile, LED lighting is featured throughout the premises and energy is sourced from a mains supply of natural gas.
