The village of Glandore is located about 1 hour 15 minutes from Cork City Center. Glandore is one of the most beautiful and most scenic villages in West Cork, positioned on rising ground overlooking Glandore Bay and the thriving fishing village of Union Hall. The food at the Glandore Inn is a delight, as you can expect because of its location the menu offered majors on fish but there are land lover favourites available as well, visitors can expect to find the very best of West Cork beef and lamb options in addition to fresh fish.
On a fine day, there’s no better way to enjoy your locally inspired meal than by taking a seat outdoors and looking out at the bay before you. Good food and stunning vistas, we can’t think of a better experience!
There is an abundance of fresh fish available, including John Dory, Sole, Monkfish, Lobster, Mussels and Smoked Irish Salmon. The menu will feature house favourites and a selection of daily specials based on the fresh catch available.Â
The day we visited, the menu included Homemade Seafood Chowder with house-made brown bread, fresh crab salad and their famous Fish Pie. At the Glandore Inn, there is an ethos of sourcing ingredients locally and making fresh in house.
To the front of the Glandore Inn, there is a very comfortable outdoor dining space for visitors to enjoy refreshments, food and the unbeatable vista across the bay.Â
The centrepiece of the Glandore Inn is the very quaint bar surrounded by dining tables and to the front of the restaurant, diners can enjoy the view across the beautiful Glandore Bay.
