Kylemore Abbey Joins the Prestigious Good Food Ireland® Collection

Immediate Release - September 2025

Good Food Ireland® is proud to announce that Kylemore Abbey has officially joined the Good Food Ireland® Collection, the all-island trustmark showcasing the very best of Ireland’s food and drink experiences.

Following an independent inspection by Dr. Detta Melia, Kylemore Abbey is now part of a committed group of businesses that are independently inspected and approved based on their dedication to using local, Irish ingredients and delivering authentic culinary experiences.

Kylemore Abbey, an iconic destination nestled in the heart of Connemara, offers a food experience that is deeply rooted in the Benedictine tradition of stewardship and simplicity. With a strong focus on sustainability, the menus at Kylemore feature ingredients grown on the estate itself, including produce from its beautifully restored Victorian Walled Garden. Visitors can enjoy wholesome, locally inspired dishes in both The Kylemore Kitchen Café and the Garden Tea House, enhancing the spiritual and cultural experience of this historic site.

We are delighted to welcome Kylemore Abbey to the Good Food Ireland® Collection,” said Margaret Jeffares, Founder and CEO of Good Food Ireland®.Kylemore Abbey is a true gem, offering visitors a unique taste of Irish heritage through their food, hospitality and commitment to local sourcing. Their inclusion reflects our shared values of authenticity, sustainability and excellence.”

We are delighted to join the Good Food Ireland® Collection” said Jessica Ridge, Marketing Manager, Kylemore Abbey. “We are honoured to be recognised for our commitment to Irish food, hospitality and sustainability.
