Attention All Food & Drink Producers – Join Buddy’s Weekend Farmers Market

Attention All Food & Drink Producers
Join Buddy's Weekend Farmers Market

Immediate Release - March 2024

Buddy’s Farmers Market in north Co. Dublin are growing their offering and are calling for Irish food & drink producers to join their weekend farmer’s market.

Buddy’s Farm Shop is a state-of-the-art Farmers Market store located on the site of Seed Potato. Seed Potato was established by Andrew ‘Buddy’ Mathews (Maurice’s Dad) in the early 1980’s. Today, Buddy’s is in the expert care of Andrew’s son Maurice who has grown the business to new heights. The Mathews Family were potato traders and still are. Maurice’s Dad Andrew is known as ‘Buddy’ by everybody and this was the inspiration for the name of the new retail store.

Buddy’s features a wide selection of locally grown Irish produce. You’ll be impressed with the large selection of fresh produce presented and waiting to be picked up. Most of the Irish produce for sale in Buddy’s is from growers within a 50km catchment area. The team at Buddy’s pride themselves on the close relationship they have with their suppliers, relationships that go back years. The quality and quantity of fresh seasonal produce is a testament to this.

Maurice Mathews and his team wish to develop this relationship with producers and welcome them into the Buddy’s Farmers Market with the development of a weekend market that will allow customers to buy produce directly from producers. This is a great way for the public to learn more about the process and work that goes into producing top quality artisan food.

For more information and how you can get involved, contact Maurice Mathews of Buddy’s Farmers Market.
