About Our Member

Ghan House is a fully restored Georgian Country House built in 1727 and is just a tree length from Medieval Carlingford & a stone’s throw from Carlingford Lough. On arrival at the wonderful Ghan House, just outside the town of Carlingford, expect to be welcomed in warm style. That usually means a big hello, help with your luggage, and if you fancy it, a drink or a cup of tea or coffee by the fire in the cosy bar, before you are shown to your room. Ghan House is a haven of escape for those who want to get away from it all, but still, have access to a village setting and quick road motoring to the north or south of Ireland.

2 Night Break to Ghan House ft. Tandem Bikes

My partner and I booked a break in Ghan House to get away from the madness of Dublin.

We had a lovely time in both the restaurant and relaxing in the hotel and its grounds.

The staff were so warm and even though they were really busy, nothing was too much hassle for them.

Location is perfect, literally smack in the middle of Carlingford in gorgeous grounds.

I would so recommend it to anyone who wants a break away from Dublin.

As well as the tranquility of the hotel and its grounds, Carlingford has loads to offer. Noteably hiring a tandem bike from On Yer Bike to cycle the 7km greenway to Omeath and stopping for some delicious lunch in Wildwood Cafe!

Whether coming from the North, South or West – best take the Carlingford exit – junction 18 (just 15 mins away) & follow signs for Carlingford. On the 2nd 50 kph slow down sign on entering Carlingford – you’ll see a sign ‘Ghan House’ on left & stone entrance & gravel driveway.

To Make Your Booking

When you have purchased your Special Offer you will be issued with a confirmation e-Voucher with its own unique code. Your reservation must be made directly with the Member, quoting this unique code, at the time of booking. Advance booking is required and is subject to availability and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. Your confirmation e-Voucher will also include contacts details for the Member to make your booking or if you need further information about the experience or have any specific questions. Cancellations

If for whatever reason you, unfortunately, need to cancel your booking, you can do so up to 48 hours or more before the day of the experience. Inside 48 hours, we cannot offer a refund as our Members have been busy preparing for your visit. To request cancellation, you must Email us directly in advance [email protected] and provide your booking number and name. Failure to do so will, unfortunately, render your e-Voucher null and void and is non-refundable.

However, if you cancel within the cancellation timeframe the monetary value of your e-Voucher may be used for any other Experience or item available on the Good Food Ireland® Online Shop. Your e-Voucher will be valid for up to 5 years from the date of purchase.
