Bank Holiday Whiskey Celebrations with Whiskey Live


As part of the world’s premier whiskey tasting show, Whiskey Live Dublin, will take place in the magnificent Round Room of The Mansion House in Dublin on Saturday, 25th October 2014. This will be the fourth year the event has taken place, and tickets are available for two sessions 2.00-5.30pm and 6.00-9.30pm. Whiskey Live is the international celebration that brings together whiskies from around the world, great food and a range of education and entertainment to make learning about whiskey both fun and stimulating. Whether you are a whiskey enthusiast, an uninitiated newcomer or just looking for a day out that offers you something different, Whiskey Live has something for everyone Whiskey Live Dublin will give visitors the unique opportunity to sample some of the greatest whiskies in the world, whilst mingling with the producers and distillers. In addition to learning about the world of whiskey, you will be able to sample rare and sought-after whiskies and meet the stars of the industry. This year a number Dublin restaurants will prepare some bite size dishes to match some of the whiskeys in attendance. Not to mention some of the capital’s best cocktail mixologists serving up some samples of delicious Irish whiskey cocktails. Some of Ireland’s newest distilleries will take part to talk about their plans for the near future. Whiskey masterclasses will run throughout the day and add in a few whiskey cask-matured craft beers, some Poitin and a range of other Irish spirits to make it a fun and delicious event for all to Organiser Ally Alpine of the Celtic Whiskey Shop said, “This is the fourth year of Whiskey Live Dublin, an event that has grown in popularity year on year. All whiskeyphiles are welcome to sample popular and unusual whiskeys as well as some lovely pairings of whiskeys and gourmet dishes. The weekend coincides with the Irish Whiskey Awards, which take place earlier during the week so many award winners, and gold medal winners will be in attendance at the event. Every year there are new whiskeys to discover as the industry is really exploding in Ireland.” Tickets are €37.50 and the Celtic Whiskey Shop will donate a minimum of €10 per ticket to Down Syndrome Dublin.
