Nuala Hickey’s little shop and cafe in the town centre is a haven for those who love their home baked goodies. Shelves and baskets filled with yeast breads, sourdoughs, baguettes, rolls and all manner of wondrousness fresh from the oven. Admire the counter laden with buns, cakes and tarts. Hickey’s is a traditional bakery with more than just a loaf or two to offer. Cafe menu includes great breakfasts, lunch sandwiches on Hickey’s fresh baked bread, and a new selection of lunch specials written up on the blackboard. Great value for money, as many of the regulars will testify. Also the only shop in the town which has mountain views, thanks to a public car park across the road which doesn’t block the magnificent view!
