Father’s Day at the Celtic Whiskey Store

Finding a Father’s Day gift is not always an easy task and we believe the old saying ‘it’s the thought that counts’rings true. That said, what better way to say ‘thinking of you’ than with a gift of uisce beatha (water of life) to say “thanks” to Dad for all those times you may have aged him ever so slightly.  Below are three ideas for any Father who likes his whiskey. Sláinte!

Green Spot Chateau Léoville Barton
70cl 46%
€69.95
This is a special edition of the already renowned Green Spot Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey. Initially matured in traditional sherry and bourbon casks and then finished in Bordeaux wine casks, adding a dimension of grippy tannins, ginger spice and a woody, oak character.

Midleton Dair Ghaelach
70cl 58%
€260 each
This is the first ever Irish whiskey to be finished in virgin Irish Oak Hogsheads. It is the latest edition of the Midleton Single Pot Still distillates. Aged for 15-22 Years in ex-Bourbon casks before being married together and filled into these unique barrels made from 130 year old oak trees from Grinell’s Wood, within the Ballaghtobin Estate in Co. Kilkenny. Each bottling is labelled from 1-9 based on the number tree the oak was sourced from.
