Last week’s Royal Highland Show in Edinburgh saw Good Food Ireland team up with Tourism Ireland to showcase the island of Ireland in all its glory. Many visitors to the stand in the Shopping Arcade of the arena were bowled over by the expertise of the team. Visitors to the stand took part in several competitions, including a free draw to win a hamper of artisan goodies from the Good Food Ireland online shop. Winner to be announced imminently! Everyone was given a true Irish welcome from the professional team on the stand – and goodie bags with chocolates! Thousands of questions were answered over the four days of the show. We advised on all aspects of visiting Ireland, from how to get here to the best places to stay and eat throughout the island – north, south, east, and west! From all our chats, our firm opinion is that Ireland is a top holiday destination for its fabulous food, friendly people and the buzz of Irish hospitality that’s so much part of life here. ‘Nowhere else do they do it like Ireland’ said many a visitor to the stand! So we reckon it’s official – the world loves the Emerald Isle!
