Rua means red in Irish – but local food shop Rua and  award winning Café Rua in Castlebar will most definitely be going ‘green’ this week! The Rua  team are celebrating Irish Food Week. Rua shop and deli, and Café Rua are ahead of the game when it comes to showcasing local foods all through the year. But this week, the two establishments are excelling themselves to bring even more local and Irish produce to the attention of the public. A list of events taking place all this week include food demos, producer visits and talks. There are still three days left to celebrate  Irish Food Week – the gig winds up on Saturday 16th March – before the serious business of ringing in St.Patrick’s Day starts in earnest.
