Coppenagh House Farm – Tullow, Co. Carlow

At Coppenagh House Farm in Co. Carlow, owners Robert and Ciara Stanley produce a top quality range of beef products from their small Wagyu and Continental herd. Local and sustainability play a big part in the amazing offering at Coppenagh House. Their herd is hand reared and they graze on the Stanley family land.

Furthermore, the herd is processed within 5km of the farm and their neighbor and fellow Good Food Ireland member, Master Butcher Jim Murphy butchers the meat too. You can’t get much more local than that!

On weekends, you can visit Coppenagh House Farm at their lovely farm shop. Here you can buy direct their range of meat products along with a selection of other local products.

GROOMS AT THE RANCH -monasterevin, Co. kildare 

Grooms at the Ranch is a unique dining experience, a hidden gem created by Audrey Tyrrell-Law Chef/Proprietor waiting to be discovered.

Audrey has created a unique and cosy dining experience in her family home. The dining room is tastefully decorated and can accommodate 12 guests at 4 separate tables or by prior arrangement a private booking for 12 at a single table.

The menu is a tasting menu at Grooms at the Ranch with surprise tasters along the way. The style and passion for Audrey’s food is inspired by Chef extraordinaire JP McMahon from Aniar in Galway. Audrey did a cookery course with JP and he also mentored Audrey before opening her restaurant.

CASHEL HOUSE HOTEl – connemara, co. galway 

Peacefully set in some 50 acres of mature gardens and woodland walks overlooking the scenic Cashel Bay, this really is the very heart of Connemara. Cashel House Hotel was built in the 19th century and this gracious country home was converted to a hotel in 1968 by the McEvilly family and is owned and run by the family ever since. In the present day, Brian McEvilly has taken the reins, with a determination to continue the amazing hospitality legacy of the McEvilly Family.

the GLyde inn – Annagassan, co. louth 

The Glyde Inn is located in the coastal village of Annagassan in Co Louth. This quiet seaside village lies where the River Glyde meets the sea. It’s a three-generational O’Neill family business, currently operated by Paul and Ann O’Neill and their son Conor. The Glyde Inn enjoys a rich reputation for warm welcoming hospitality and good local food.

The secret sauce behind the food is the locally sourced fresh seafood and the inspired decision by Ann O’Neill to take a cookery course with Darina Allan at Ballymaloe Cookery School about 32 years ago.

The Glyde Inn became a destination restaurant. The O’Neill’s extended the premises at the back of the pub to create the restaurant and outdoor terrace with commanding views across the water to the Moran Mountains and The Cooley Peninsula.

In recent times, son Conor has added a Viking experience to the offering, once more tying in local culture to this dining spot. It truly is a food destination adventure at The Glyde Inn. Local sourcing is a priority with much of their seafood being sourced from the shores and sea in view of the eatery.
